What is a microfiber cloth roll?
A microfiber cloth roll is a set of microfiber cloths supplied in roll form, with the piece count stated on the pack.
In the SM21 range, SM21061 is a 20-piece roll of 25 × 25 cm cloths at 180 GSM, and SM21062 is a 15-piece roll at 230 GSM. Both are listed as 80% polyester / 20% polyamide.
How do rolls compare with multi-packs and single cloths?
Rolls use lighter, smaller cloths in higher counts. Multi-packs use standard cloths in counts of 3–7. Single cloths are usually the heaviest at 300 GSM.
The table compares formats from the SM21 catalogue.
| Format | Example items | Size | GSM | Pieces |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single cloth | SM21001, SM21005, SM21033 | 30 × 30 cm | 300 | 1 |
| Multi-pack | SM21047, SM21050, SM21066 | 30 × 30 cm | 230–250 | 3–5 |
| Large multi-pack | SM21049 | 33 × 33 cm | 230 | 7 |
| Microfiber cloth roll | SM21061, SM21062 | 25 × 25 cm | 180 / 230 | 20 / 15 |
| Microfiber tissues | SM21057, SM21058, SM21059 | 20 × 20 cm | 160–180 | 20 |
How do microfiber rolls differ from nonwoven and disposable rolls?
They are different materials. Microfiber rolls are knitted polyester/polyamide cloths; the nonwoven and disposable rolls are viscose, polyester, wood pulp or PP sheets.
Keep the material on the front of the pack accurate, and do not borrow reuse or wash claims from one format for another.
| Item | Type | Material | Size | GSM | Pieces |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SM21061 | Microfiber cloth roll | 80/20 polyester/polyamide | 25 × 25 cm | 180 | 20 |
| SM21062 | Microfiber cloth roll | 80/20 polyester/polyamide | 25 × 25 cm | 230 | 15 |
| SM21063 | Needle-punched cloth roll | 70% viscose / 30% polyester | 30 × 30 cm | 120 | 18 |
| SM21064 | Spunlace cloth roll | 70% viscose / 30% polyester | 25 × 36 cm | 40 | 40 |
| SM21065 | Disposable cloth roll | 75% wood pulp / 25% PP | 21 × 28 cm | 70 | 60 |
Why are roll and tissue cloths lighter?
Lower weight and smaller size keep a high-count unit compact.
A 20-piece roll of 300 GSM cloths would be much bulkier than one of 180 GSM cloths. Lighter cloths can suit quick wiping and dusting, but test them for the jobs the pack will name.
What are microfiber tissues?
They are small 20 × 20 cm microfiber pieces sold in packs of 20.
SM21057 is printed (180 GSM), SM21058 is a velvet finish (170 GSM) and SM21059 is plain (160 GSM). They suit counter, dispenser or travel-style formats where a full-size cloth is too large.
How should buyers compare pack formats?
Compare cost per cloth and per square metre, not just cost per pack.
A 20 × 20 cm tissue covers 0.04 m², while a 30 × 30 cm cloth covers 0.09 m², so pack price alone can mislead. Also compare carton quantity, shelf footprint, packaging cost and the use instructions each format needs. Weight checks are explained in the microfiber GSM guide.
