Choose the retail format
Blister card, printed sleeve, colour box, header bag and multipack formats create different costs, dimensions and carton plans. Select the format alongside the item and quantity, not after the quotation is approved.
Build the information panel
Reserve space for product name, item code, material, dimensions, pack count, care, country of origin and the importer or responsible-party block required by the destination market. The final wording must match the approved product data.
Keep claims tied to evidence
Do not add “non-scratch”, “compostable”, “antibacterial” or recycled-content claims because a competitor uses them. Confirm the test method or material evidence for the exact SKU before printing.
Approve the physical pack
Artwork approval is not the same as packaging approval. Review the printed or physical pre-production sample for colour, barcode readability, dimensions, sealing, insert count and carton fit.
A specification you can send today
Send the item code or construction, material, size, colour, pack, target quantity and destination market. Ask the supplier to repeat these fields in the quotation and sample record. This keeps the commercial conversation tied to the product that will actually be produced.
