What buyers mean by a Swedish dishcloth
A Swedish dishcloth is a retail term commonly used for a cellulose-and-cotton sponge cloth. It describes a product style; the name alone does not establish Swedish origin, a particular blend or a certified environmental claim. A wholesale request should name the material and the item code as well as the shelf description.
SINOCLEAN is based in Jinhua, China. Its SM11 sponge cloth range is listed by composition, dimensions and pack count. That gives a buyer a concrete starting point for a private-label Swedish dishcloth programme, while the label wording and country-of-origin marking still need approval for the destination market.
Compare the listed blends at the same size
The catalogue offers both 70% cellulose / 30% cotton and 95% cellulose / 5% cotton constructions. A ratio identifies composition; it does not, on its own, prove higher absorbency, longer life or compostability. Compare samples at the same size and under the same wetting, wringing and drying routine.
For an 18 × 20 cm comparison, SM11002 is the 70/30 version and SM11003 is the 95/5 version, both listed as three-piece packs. For a 15 × 15 cm comparison, use SM11004 and SM11005. SM11001 is the dried 17.5 × 19 cm format with a 70/30 composition.
Separate the cloth specification from the printed pack
A cloth sample and a retail presentation answer different questions. The product approval should cover blend, finished size, appearance, edge and the condition in which it is packed. The packaging approval should cover piece count, artwork area, barcode, instructions and destination-market markings.
If you are comparing Swedish dishcloth wholesale quotations, send each supplier the same selling-unit description. State whether “three pieces” means three individual cloths in one retail pack, and ask for the quoted quantity basis, carton quantity and carton dimensions. This avoids comparing a per-piece quotation with a per-pack quotation.
Use samples to approve the claims you plan to print
Test the selected SKU on the surfaces named in your proposed instructions. Record wet feel, wringing, visible residue, colour transfer, drying behaviour and any size change using a repeatable routine. Keep an approved reference sample with the item code and artwork version.
Claims such as compostable, antibacterial or a stated absorption capacity need evidence for the finished item and the wording used in your market. Cellulose content is not enough to support every environmental or performance statement. Ask for the relevant material declaration and supporting documents before committing the printed pack.
Prepare one complete wholesale enquiry
Send the chosen code, blend, size, colour or print request, pieces per pack, total quantity and destination country. Include the target sales channel and packaging format. If the product is a starting point for a new print, use the cloth design enquiry to record the concept and then confirm production feasibility with the quotation.
SINOCLEAN’s published standard minimum is 3,000 pieces per item and colour; the quoted basis and any custom requirements must be confirmed for the order. The published stock sample timing is 5–7 days, while artwork, custom samples and packaging approval can add steps. Agree those milestones before setting a shelf-launch date.
Check the catalogue and prepare your enquiry
The dimensions, material descriptions and pack counts above come from the current SINOCLEAN catalogue entries. Confirm the final specification against the quotation and an approved sample.
