Start with something you can hold.

A useful sample answers a specific question: which construction to choose, whether the finish feels right, or how your brand and packaging work together. Tell us what you need to decide.

01 / Choose a route

Compare a base product or develop your specification.

The right route depends on what you need to learn. Availability, the exact sample contents and project terms are confirmed with the enquiry.

A / STOCK REFERENCE

Get a feel for the base cloth.

Request an existing catalogue item to compare texture, handling, pile or edge before selecting a starting point. Include the SKU rather than relying on a photograph alone.

  • Useful for comparing grid, waffle, glass-cloth or plush formats
  • Record differences between the stock item and your intended final specification
  • A stock sample is not approval of a custom colour, artwork or pack

B / CUSTOM DEVELOPMENT

Evaluate the proposed product.

Prepare the selected construction, size, colour, edge, artwork and packaging requirements. Confirm what will be represented physically and what remains to be resolved before a pre-production sample.

  • Useful for evaluating changes from the base item
  • Artwork and print feasibility need review for the selected fabric
  • Custom sample approval and production approval must be clearly identified

02 / Make the request useful

One brief. Fewer missing details.

Product & purpose

Catalogue code or reference construction, intended surface and the decision you want the sample to support. State which products you want to compare.

Material & finish

Requested blend, fabric weight, finished dimensions, pile, edge and colour. Mark anything still open as a question rather than an assumed specification.

Branding & selling pack

Logo location, artwork dimensions, pack format, pieces per pack and required languages. Use the interactive studio to communicate your concept; it is not a print approval.

Quantity & destination

Expected production quantity per item and colour, destination markets, delivery country and required arrival date. Courier arrangements and any applicable sample or freight charges need written confirmation.

Suggested enquiry subject: Sample request — [item code / application]

“We would like to compare [items] for [use]. Our intended specification is [material, GSM, size, edge and colour]. Proposed branding and pack: [details]. Expected production quantity: [quantity per item/colour]. Destination: [country]. We need to evaluate [criteria]. Please confirm availability, sample scope, costs, courier arrangements and timing.”

Use the existing contact form or send the brief to george@sinocleans.com. Artwork can be supplied through the existing enquiry email workflow.

03 / From request to reference

Keep each approval explicit.

  1. Confirm scope & quotation

Agree which items are available, what customization is included, and which questions remain open. Confirm the sample fee arrangement, freight, preparation estimate and delivery method before proceeding.

  2. Prepare & dispatch

Confirm the delivery details through the enquiry process. Agree shipment arrangements and request dispatch information when available. Preparation time and courier transit are separate; a requested arrival date is not a guaranteed delivery commitment.

  3. Evaluate against your checklist

Check construction, size, colour, edge, artwork and packing as applicable. Evaluate intended-use requirements against agreed methods. Keep comments tied to the sample identity and specification revision.

  4. Approve or revise in writing

List what is accepted and what must change. A development sample may settle one question while leaving another open. Confirm the pre-production approval and retained reference before using the sample to authorize production.

04 / Timing & terms

Read the existing terms, then confirm your project.

The published OEM page describes standard stock and custom sampling arrangements, sample charges and production planning. Those existing terms remain unchanged. This page adds a request and approval guide, not a new fee, refund or service-level policy.

Confirm the final sample scope, fees, any applicable credit or refund arrangement, courier charges and preparation schedule in your quotation. A change in fabric, artwork or packaging may require a revised plan.

Before you approve

  • Can the sample be identified unambiguously?
  • Does the approval name the exact specification and artwork version?
  • Are open points and required evidence recorded?
  • Is a retained physical reference agreed?

Bring the specification into focus.

Send the item, intended use, quantity and destination market. Include the decisions you need the sample or quotation to resolve.
